Beef Jerky ready to be dehydrated!!

My daughter LOVES beef jerky. It seems like all the beef jerky that I buy her has preservatives in it for store shelf marketing. The ones that doesnt, cost an arm and a leg. So when I went on my M&T meat run today, I picked up some roast and had them slice it up for beef jerky. Six pounds to start. I am letting it marinade overnight and will have my daughter help me put it in the dehydrator tomorrow after school! She's excited and cant wait. I wonder how long it will last.
